Product Overview

Usage

Used in dyes, pigments and fine chemicals as the core intermediate for synthesizing quinacridone high-performance organic pigments. Through aromatization it converts to dimethyl 2,5-dihydroxyterephthalate, which undergoes further condensation and ring closure to produce red and violet high-performance quinacridone pigments. These pigments exhibit excellent lightfastness, heat resistance and solvent resistance, widely used in automotive coatings, industrial paints, plastic coloration and high-grade printing inks. Also used in synthesizing other high-performance pigments and functional organic compounds, and in the preparation of metal-organic framework (MOF) materials.
