Product Overview

Usage

Used as an antimicrobial preservative in pharmaceutical excipients with stronger antimicrobial activity than methylparaben, effective against molds, yeasts and certain bacteria. Widely applied in oral liquid preparations, topical ointments, creams and gels, as well as in eye drops, syrups and mixtures for preservation. Often combined with other parabens to broaden the antimicrobial spectrum and enhance preservative efficacy.
