Product Details

Product Overview

Usage

Used in dyes and fine chemicals as a key intermediate for synthesizing disperse and cationic dyes. The ethyl group on nitrogen provides basicity while the cyanoethyl group offers subsequent reactivity — together they modulate dye polarity, shade and dyeing performance. Primarily used as a coupling component for orange, red and blue disperse dyes, especially high-performance varieties. This intermediate can also be used to prepare nitrogen heterocycles and other functional fine chemicals.
