Product Overview

Usage

Widely used in cosmetics, personal care and pharmaceutical industries. In cosmetics, it acts as a mild skin conditioner and healing promoter with keratolytic, epithelial cell proliferation-stimulating, anti-irritant and moisturizing properties, widely used in skin creams, lotions, toners, hair conditioners, toothpaste and oral care products. In pharmaceuticals, used in topical ointments, burn creams and skin ulcer treatment formulations to aid wound healing and tissue repair. The US FDA classifies allantoin as a Category I safe and effective active skin care ingredient (usage 0.5%~2.0%).
